We are honored to host your mission trip to Peru! One of our core desires is to connect people from their local church to all that God’s doing in our church, caminodevida, all the way in Lima, Peru. A move of God is needed now more than ever, and we are ready to take part in it. Our desire is to be on the front lines of what God is doing on earth in this time and we’re excited for you to join us. This desire came out of the hearts of our senior pastors Robert and Karyn Barriger who founded cdv in 1987. Their drive and commitment to see God’s Kingdom present on earth as it is in heaven brought them to Peru over 30 years ago. Dedication to humanitarian aid and outreach has been part of the cdv flavor since its creation, and the impact has spoken volumes throughout the years. One thing’s certain: the way we are doing things has changed, but the mission has not. We want to make this experience as personal as possible while also allowing you to be a part of what we’re doing, who we are connecting with, and why your hand in it matters. Each mission trip will look slightly different because there’s movement and diversity of opportunities here. These experiences may include working with various ministries and outreaches, working in the communities, and/or passing out food to those in need. One last thought we want to leave with you: churches were never
meant to be just a place for people to gather on Sunday morning and have their own needs met. A thriving church takes what has been given to them (the love of God, talents and passions, resources) and in the spirit of Jesus, shares those gifts with those  around them. You are a gift to us, and we cannot stress enough how blessed we are to have your team serve with us this year – and hopefully years to come!
